One of nine children, born to sharecroppers in Quincy, Florida, Daisy is the author of BIG EYES™... Big Eyedeas for Achieving Optimum Success in Business and in Life. She is the former owner and lead consultant/trainer of a training and organizational development firm. Under her leadership the firm received the following awards:

• NASA, Special Service Award (for custom designed personal and professional development seminars for NASA Headquarters administrative support staff)
• U. S. Department of Transportation, Outstanding Women-Owned Business Enterprise Award (for superior training and career transition services provided to U. S. Coast Guard employees)
• NASA Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC), Customer Service Excellence Award (for superior educational and training programs and services to the GSFC Visitors Center)
